Quick guide to electronic files

All text and graphics files must be included in your electronic submission.

DO NOT include the cover letter in your main manuscript PDF file (you will be asked to provide this on the submission pages).

1. Main manuscript PDF file. Wherever possible you are required to submit a single Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file containing all text, tables and figures. For detailed information on how to generate a PDF file go to instructions for creating PDFs.
   
   
2. Supplementary files. We accept the following file types as supplemental files. Please note, if the reviewers selected for your paper cannot view the file type you have submitted, you may be asked to supply a different format.
   
   
   • AVI, SWF, MPEG, QT, MOV, WMV, PDB, TIFF, EPS, GIF, JPEG, BMP, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word
   
   Please keep all files as small as possible. Supplemental files should not exceed 20MB.
